POLICE magazine – the national magazine which goes to 122,000 police officers and key stakeholders – has been shortlisted for an industry excellence award.
The Police Federation’s bi-monthly magazine was entered in the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Excellence Awards, the longest-running and most rigorously assessed awards in public relations.
POLICE magazine is one of six short-listed entrants in the Best External Publication category.
Catherine Feast, Editor, said: “This is a fantastic recognition of the hard work that goes into the magazine by all of its contributors.
“Informing and engaging those with an interest in policing for almost 50 years, POLICE magazine has evolved to cover the issues that matter most to our members, highlighting concerns and bringing issues to the fore. To be shortlisted for such a prestigious award is a big honour.”
Joint chair of the judging panel Paul Mylrea, said: “The CIPR Excellence Awards have become the way to demonstrate best practice, to showcase your best work, and to set the path for other PR practitioners to follow. Winning is not all. Taking part and getting shortlisted is a huge achievement, especially as the standard is rising year on year.”
